Itinerary

Your Vietnamese adventure begins as our guide and driver welcome you at Noi Bai International Airport. After a scenic 45-minute drive into the heart of Hanoi, your city discovery commences with visits to the iconic Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you'll pay respects at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and admire the unique One Pillar Pagoda standing gracefully amid serene grounds. Step into history at Hoa Lo Prison, a haunting reminder of Vietnam's colonial past, before hopping aboard a delightful buggy cart to weave through the atmospheric Old Quarter and around picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake. Experience the city's quirky charm at Train Street, where trains rumble past homes and cafes—your complimentary drink adds to the thrill. The evening concludes with a mesmerizing Water Puppet Show, an ancient art form unique to Vietnam's Red River Delta, followed by a delicious Indian dinner before retiring to your hotel.

Following breakfast, journey approximately 120 kilometres south to Ninh Binh province, often dubbed "Halong Bay on Land." Your first stop is Hoa Lu, Vietnam's ancient capital, where you'll wander through the 17th-century temples dedicated to Emperors Dinh and Le—masterpieces of traditional architecture that whisper tales of a bygone era. After an Indian lunch, prepare for the highlight of the day: a serene boat expedition through Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its spectacular tunnel cave system. This mystical waterway served as the backdrop for Hollywood's "Kong: Skull Island," and as you drift through Sang Cave (Light Cave), Toi Cave (Dark Cave), and Nau Ruou Cave (Cooking Wine Cave), you'll understand why. Towering limestone karsts frame emerald rivers, creating a landscape of ethereal beauty. Return to Hanoi in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast and hotel checkout, depart for Halong Bay—a 3.5-hour journey through the verdant farmlands of the Red River Delta. Arriving at Tuan Chau Wharf, a tender transfers you to your overnight cruise vessel in Bai Tu Long Bay. Welcome drinks greet you as the Cruise Manager outlines your adventure; then settle into your cabin before savouring a delicious lunch while sailing past the bay's iconic limestone islets. The afternoon unveils a hidden treasure: Thien Canh Son Cave (Co Cave), where a short hike reveals a wild, mystical grotto adorned with sparkling stalactites resembling hanging lamps. Return to the boat to relax before participating in an engaging cooking demonstration, where you'll master the delicate art of Vietnamese spring roll preparation. Dinner is served amid the tranquil charm of the bay, followed by evening entertainment options including squid fishing, movie screenings, board games, or indulgent spa services.

Awaken to a breathtaking dawn over Bai Tu Long Bay—a moment of pure tranquillity as the sun paints the seascape in golden hues. Begin your day with an invigorating Tai Chi session on the sundeck, harmonising body and soul against this majestic backdrop. Enjoy a light breakfast of cookies, tea, and coffee while soaking in the morning views. Your final excursion takes you to Vung Vieng fishing village, where you'll board a traditional bamboo boat to explore the floating community and observe the unique way of life of locals dwelling on Halong Bay's shimmering surface. Return to the cruise, pack your belongings, and check out of your cabin before a delightful brunch is served as the vessel cruises back to harbour. Disembark at approximately 11:00 AM, then transfer back to Hanoi for your departure flight, carrying unforgettable memories of Vietnam's northern treasures.
