How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will too, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay a certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, a hot water facility could be free at a lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. The Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during the offseason. It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For the Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.

Day 1 :

Welcome to Istanbul

Your Turkish adventure begins with a warm welcome at Istanbul Airport, where you'll be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After checking in and taking some time to rest, you'll have the remainder of the day at your leisure. You might choose to unwind at the hotel or venture out to get a first taste of this dynamic city on your own. Enjoy a restful overnight stay in Istanbul.

Day 2 :

Full Day Istanbul Old City Tour

Today, you'll delve into the historic heart of old Istanbul in the Sultanahmet District. Your journey begins by viewing the exterior of the magnificent Hagia Sophia, a 6th-century marvel of world architecture known for its massive dome and Byzantine mosaics. You'll then enter the iconic Blue Mosque, famous for its stunning interior of blue Iznik tiles and six minarets. Continue to the ancient Hippodrome of Constantinople to see historical monuments that once stood at the center of Byzantine public life. After a lunch break to savor local Turkish cuisine (on your own), you'll view the exterior of the magnificent Topkapi Palace, the former residence of Ottoman Sultans. Your day concludes with a visit to the sprawling Grand Bazaar, where you can explore over 4,000 shops for a true cultural and shopping experience before returning to your hotel.

Day 3 :

Full Day Bosphorus Cruise & 2 Continents Tour

Start your day by visiting the Historic City Walls and exploring the Golden Horn, a natural harbor vital to Istanbul's development. You'll then immerse yourself in the vibrant aromas of the Spice Bazaar. The highlight of the day is a Bosphorus Boat Trip, where you'll cruise along the waterway dividing Europe and Asia, viewing old wooden villas, marble palaces like Çırağan Palace, and fortresses from the sea. In the afternoon, you'll visit the opulent Beylerbeyi Palace on the Asian side, once a summer residence for Ottoman Sultans, and then experience the unique thrill of crossing the Bosphorus Bridge from Asia to Europe. You'll finish the day with a relaxing stop at Çamlıca Hill, the city's highest point, offering stunning panoramic views, followed by free time for shopping in the Bedesten.

Day 04 :

Full Day Princes' Island Tour

Today, you'll head north around 9:00 AM into the majestic Caucasus Mountains. The journey includes a visit to the picturesque Ananuri Architectural Complex and a photo stop at the scenic Jinvali Dam. As you ascend, you’ll pause at the stunning Gudauri Friendship Monument for incredible panoramic photography opportunities. The tour culminates in the town of Kazbegi (Stepantsminda), where you'll switch to a 4x4 vehicle for the adventurous ride up to the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church, a symbol of Georgian resilience with a breathtaking mountain backdrop. You will then make your way back to Tbilisi for the night.

Day 05 :

Departure

After a final breakfast at your hotel, you'll check out and be transferred to the airport. Our representative will assist you with your international flight procedures, ensuring a smooth and pleasant journey home as you conclude your memorable Turkish adventure.
