Itinerary

Your adventure begins with an early departure from Rome, traveling south towards the vibrant city of Naples. Here, you'll embark on a ferry to the stunning Island of Capri, with your tickets included, where the dazzling blue sea and rugged coastline await. Upon arrival, you can choose to visit the fascinating White Grotto or take a scenic cable car up to the heart of Capri for panoramic views. After a leisurely lunch on the island, you'll rejoin the boat for a journey to the charming town of Sorrento, perched dramatically at the foot of the cliffs. Enjoy some time to wander through its lively streets before we continue our drive to the Gulf of Salerno, where we will spend the night in the city of Salerno.

Today, we journey further south, crossing the stunning landscapes of the Cilento National Park. Our first stop is the coastal town of Paola, where we will visit the Sanctuary of St. Francis of Paola before enjoying some free time for lunch in its charming historic center. Continuing our adventure, we will arrive at Villa San Giovanni to board a short ferry crossing to the island of Sicily. Upon arrival in Messina, we’ll have time to admire the cathedral in the city's main square. The day concludes as we travel to the spectacular Taormina region, where we will stay for the night.

Day 03 :
Taormina

Nestled at the foot of the imposing Mount Etna, the enchanting city of Taormina is yours to explore today. Sir Winston Churchill once described it as the most beautiful place on earth, and you'll have ample time to discover why. You can wander through the lively historic quarter, visit its magnificent Greek theatre which boasts a mesmerizing view of the coastline and volcano, or simply relax on the beach and soak in the Mediterranean sun.

After breakfast, we head to Catania, a city that stands at the foot of Mount Etna and combines history, art, and lively Mediterranean life. You'll be impressed by its UNESCO-listed Baroque center, beautiful squares, and the bustling atmosphere of its famous fish market. We then continue to Syracuse, an ancient city of Magna Graecia. Here, you'll have free time on the island of Ortigia, the oldest part of town, to explore its narrow streets, cathedral, and ancient castle. In the afternoon, we travel inland towards Agrigento, and from the coach, you will be able to admire the magnificent complex of the Valley of the Temples before reaching your hotel.

Today begins with a guided tour of the Valley of the Temples, an impressive archaeological site and the most complete complex of Greek temples in the world, with admission included. Following this, we travel to the historic city of Marsala, famous for its wine and vibrant atmosphere, where you'll have free time for lunch. Our journey continues with a scenic drive around the Marsala salt pans before reaching the charming hilltop town of Erice, a former Phoenician settlement offering stunning views over the sea. We'll have time for a leisurely stroll before finally heading to our hotel in the Sicilian capital of Palermo.

On our final day, we will explore the vibrant city of Palermo. This includes a transfer to the beautiful village of Monreale, now part of the city's outskirts, to visit its stunning architectural complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll continue our tour of Palermo, discovering its rich tapestry of Arab, Norman, and Baroque influences. Highlights include visits to the magnificent Cathedral and the Royal Palace with its Palatine Chapel, with admission included. Our remarkable journey through the heart of Sicily comes to an end today, leaving you with wonderful memories of your travels.
