You arrive at Antananarivo, the capital located in Madagascar’s central highlands. After completing arrival formalities, you begin a scenic drive away from the airport, offering a first introduction to the island’s unique terrain. The landscape is defined by red-soil hills, layered rice terraces, and traditional villages reflecting a lifestyle closely connected to agriculture and nature. As you pass through rural settlements, the simplicity and authenticity of local life become evident, offering a gentle introduction to the rhythm of this remarkable island.
